What to expect at your first visit
We want your first appointment to be thorough and unhurried. Here's what it typically involves:
- Arrive a few minutes early. Please arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment so you have time to complete any remaining paperwork. You can also fill out our new patient form in advance (see below) to save time.
- A review of your health history. Dr. Grossman will go over your medical and dental history with you, and take the time to understand your concerns, goals, and any questions you have.
- A comprehensive examination. We'll complete a thorough exam of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw, including an oral cancer screening and any digital X-rays needed to get a complete picture of your oral health.
- A conversation about your care. We'll explain what we find in plain language, no nagging and no pressure. We will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs, timeline, and budget.
- A cleaning, where appropriate. Depending on your needs and time, your visit may include a professional cleaning with one of our hygienists, or we'll schedule it for a follow-up visit.
